Knowledge of the Commonwealth

  1. Know something about the development of the Commonwealth of Nations.

  2. Be able to talk knowledgeably about a Commonwealth country other than your own. Your knowledge should include:

    1. A day in the life of the people

    2. A little about the cultures and religions of the country

    3. How guiding began and has developed.

  3. Do something practical in relation to the country of your choice (for example, correspond with someone, prepare a typical meal, produce a scrapbook, learn a craft or make a collection of stamps).

In our group we chose different countries. I chose new zealand and the three others chose canada, papua new guinea and australia. Then we each did a presentation on our chosen countries. We have decorated our senior section board in our meeting place with our work, it looks great.

You know it says know how guiding started in your own country...which is Britain, which is where the history of guiding started by BP...therefore is it the same? So us britons only do one clause in effect?

(i apologise if this has posted twice)
Basically as i live in England...does that mean that the history of guiding and how it started in our own country are the same; so in effect one clause for us Britons.
